About the Job
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who provides direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. The RBT implements behavior-analytic services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes.
Assist in the assessment of clients’ needs and the development of intervention strategies.
Provide direct one-on-one support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding client progress and any concerns.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Working Conditions
Work may be performed in various settings, including client homes, schools, and community locations.
May require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
Physical demands may include lifting, bending, and engaging in physical activities with clients.

Requirements
Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Completion of the RBT training program and passing the RBT exam.
Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Experience:
Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
Experience in implementing behavior intervention plans and data collection.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
Proficient in data collection and analysis.
