About the Job

Overview

 The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing behavior intervention plans for clients with developmental disabilities, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder. The BCBA will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the quality of life for clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of clients.

  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment results.

  • Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies in accordance with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

  • Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff members.

  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in the implementation of behavior plans.

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.

  • Stay current with developments in the field of behavior analysis and attend continuing education opportunities.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the clinic’s overall goals and objectives.

Working Conditions

  • Work is typically performed in a clinic setting, with some opportunities for home-based services.

  • May involve occasional travel to client homes or community settings.

  • Flexible hours may be required to accommodate client needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.

  • Completion of coursework in behavior analysis that meets the certification requirements.

  • Experience in providing ABA services, typically requiring supervised fieldwork hours.

  • Certification as a BCBA from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and families.

  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines and standards in behavior analysis.
